Being self-employed gives you the freedom to manage your own business, allowing you to work when you want and choose your own clients. Our SOLO service is only suitable for genuine self-employed contractors in business on their own account. We will work closely with you to establish your employment status on your various assignments. Being self-employed you are responsible for the management of your financial and tax affairs, which includes things such as National Insurance contributions and overall tax liabilities. - We charge 5% of each invoice raised (exclusive of VAT) subject to a minimum fee of £5. If you do not work, there is no fee.
- There is no joining fee, no termination fee and no minimum contract period.

- We liaise with your end-client and provide them with all the necessary documentation required.
- You have access to all your contract, invoicing and payment information via our web-site portal.
- Your remittance advice is emailed to you the moment we process your payment and you receive an SMS to your mobile phone.
- We make payments via the Faster Payment system which means you have access to your funds on the day we remit them (only for participating banks).
- We can advise on your self-employment status for each assignment that you take.

- Complete the simple application form and mail it to us. We will be ready to invoice on your behalf as soon as your application has been approved. We will send you a 'Welcome on Board' pack that contains important information which you should keep in a safe place..
- If you are contracting for the first time tell your end-client or agency that you are going to be working through i4 SOLO. Provide us with their details and we will forward all necessary documentation on to them.
- If you already work with an agency on their PAYE system then tell them you wish to offer your services though us. We will liaise with them to ensure a smooth and efficient change in your status, and deal with any contractual changes.
- Then simply work as normal - you or your agency will need to advise us of your billing details by telephone, fax or email to enable us to raise the appropriate invoice on your behalf.
- On receipt of authorised billing information, we will invoice your agency or end-client for the time you have worked.
- On receipt of our invoice, your agency will make payment to us through the BACS system (the UK's electronic banking system). We will then process your payment, deduct our fee (5% subject to minimum of £5) and then transfer your money to your account.
- You will have immediate access to your cleared funds through most High Street banks (using Faster Payments), otherwise you will be paid by BACS which normally takes between one and three working days to clear in your account. On the day your payment is processed we will send you an SMS message advising you when the funds will be available to you.
- A remittance advice will be sent to you either by post or by email (whichever you prefer) for each payment.
- We undertake to advise both you and your end-client of any change in compliance or guidelines issued by HMRC relating to our service. Our experienced staff members are trained to answer your queries promptly and accurately.
- We pride ourselves on our high level of service, however should you be unhappy with any aspect of our service we undertake to look into the issue and deal with it immediately.
- We guarantee that there are no hidden fees or charges, all you pay is the 5% fee per invoice.
